Pursuant to my rights under the California Public Records Act, I request access to and copies of any and all of the following information held by your agency.
I am requesting the following:
- Detailed budgets and total operating expenses for Sacramento County Animal Shelter for fiscal years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and proposed budget for fiscal year 2017
- List of fundraising organizations/non-profits that raise money on behalf of the shelter, the amount of money raised, and documentation showing where that money is spent.
I ask that the responsive materials should be made available in electronic format where possible, such as a PDF file. Additionally, I request that these records be made available to me on a flow basis, wherein the individual records requested are sent as soon as they are gathered.
If my request is denied in whole or part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the California Public Records Act. I will also expect you to release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material.
I am a working journalist and this information is being sought for dissemination to the general public. As such, I am requesting the waiver of fees because the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest. Please notify me prior to your incurring any expenses with regard to this request.
