Subject: Associated Press Request - Incentives and Ground Transportation
The Associated Press is launching two national stories and is looking for some information from your airport. We are reaching out to more than 300 commercial airports across the country, including yours, to compile this public information. If you operate two or more airports in your authority, we want the figures broken out for each airport separately. Thank you in advance for your help.
First, we are looking for a list of all incentives offered by your airport in the last 10 years to commercial airlines, what routes were served under those incentive agreements, how much money each incentive was for, how that incentive breaks down (ie: landing fee waivers, ticket counter waiver, marketing money), what dates those new routes were flown (or are still flown).
Second, we are looking for the total amount collected in calendar year 2015 from ground transportation operators. We are also requesting a breakdown of that figure to show the amount collected from taxis, shared ride vans, scheduled bus service, off-airport parking lot shuttles, hotel shuttles, Uber/Lyft and other similar operators, limousines and any other category of ground transportation operator you might have. Finally, please provide us with a breakdown of your 2015 and 2016 rates for airport pickups and drop-offs for each of those categories as well as any registration or tag fees.
If you are able to complete one request before the other, please send that one over when done.
Thank you in advance. Please do not hesitate to call me or email me with any questions.
